About
Sarah, studio’s founder and owner, fell in love with barre in 2015. She signed a lease and got to work. No name. No following. No firm plan in the beginning—just a passionate dream to help people care for themselves and discover their strength.
Now the dream is a reality—Fit Barre Hamilton. The humble studio has become a thriving fitness community. People of all ages and fitness levels come for the workout and stay for people.
If you haven’t dropped by yet, please do. There’s room for you in the Fit Barre community. The classes are tough but so are you. You’re stronger than you think.

What’s been the best part of seeing your vision come to life?
“The best part has been building a thriving community in the city where I was born and raised. I love seeing new faces, family, and friends come together. I love watching people embrace a healthy lifestyle and hold themselves accountable to their goals, even on the bad days. Witnessing people’s connection and transformation makes all the hard times worth it.”

What would you say to someone who’s a bit intimidated by coming to Fit Barre?
“Be prepared to find a community. Our clients are some of the greatest people you will ever meet: friendly, supportive, and delighted to see new faces. Know that we—instructors and members—are all quietly cheering you on, especially when the workouts feel extra difficult. We all had our first day, we all have our struggles, and we are all here together. You are stronger than you think, and we are all stronger together.”

What’s one thing all newcomers should know about the Fit Barre culture?
“Fit Barre is all about pushing through the discomfort and discovering you’re stronger than you think in more ways than one. Leave your fear and your ego at the door. Come in, enjoy the experience, watch yourself grow, and laugh at yourself along the way! We can’t wait to meet you.”

What do you say when you’re inviting a new person to barre?
I won’t sugar-coat it. I tell them that while it’s totally accessible to anyone, they are in for a serious challenge. They will feel muscles that they didn’t even know they had and it will burn so good. And I tell them that after all the sweating, shaking, and tucking is done, the profound rush of strength, accomplishment and motivation will be completely unmatched as they walk (or wobble) down the stairs.
